Theatre at St. Michael's continues its tradition of offering excellent programs for young actors, directors, writers, and designers. Our program is founded on the belief that young performers can work together in a spirit of collaboration to create wonderful performances and have a great time while doing it. Through the exploration of acting, song, dance, video, text, and design, young actors are encouraged to express themselves and discover their full potential.
We use each individual's talents to create, rehearse, and produce a unique theatrical event. These events include a video production, a musical, and Shakespearean plays. Students are involved in all aspects of the production, both onstage and off, developing existing theatre skills (although no previous experience is necessary), and learning new ones. Theatre at St. Michael's also celebrates diversity, community, and encourages respect, awareness, and acceptance of one's uniqueness and the appreciation of others.
